
Knot calls for more diversity in financial institutions
DNB head says challenges demand “diverse perspectives” as bank aims for full gender balance by 2028

The governor of the Netherlands Bank (DNB) has made an impassioned plea for greater diversity and inclusion in the financial sector.
In a speech at the International Diversity and Inclusion Conference on May 15, Klaus Knot said today’s “complex challenges”, such as climate change, digital transformation and geopolitical uncertainty, “demand diverse perspectives”.
He said DNB had established a diversity board to guide and accelerate its progress, and had a diversity dashboard to track progress.
